Empowering Future Leaders Through Biblical Excellence
Emmanuel Bible College and Seminary (EBCAS) was founded out of a passionate desire to preserve
the centrality of the Bible and uphold its authority as the theological foundation for those called to
serve in ministry. Our mission is rooted in the conviction that pastors and teachers must be equipped
with a deep and accurate understanding of God’s Word in order to effectively serve the Lord’s Church
and fulfill the Great Commission.
The vision for EBCAS was birthed by Chancellor Dr. George Underwood, whose more than thirty
years of ministry experience as a Pastor, Professor, and Bible Teacher shaped the foundation of the
College. Through these roles, Dr. Underwood encountered many pastors and students who
expressed a deep desire for a more thorough education in biblical exposition and interpretation
methods. Recognizing this need, he sought to create a place where the Word of God would be the
central textbook and where leaders could be trained to communicate Scripture with precision and
faithfulness.
At Emmanuel Bible College and Seminary, our purpose remains to provide a transformative
environment where God's people can experience His power through a deeper understanding of His
Word. We are committed to shaping and sharpening the minds of those called to be messengers of
the Gospel, equipping them not only with academic excellence but also with spiritual maturity that
prepares them for lifelong ministry.
Our educational program is rigorous, designed to challenge students and help them grow in both
knowledge and faith. We believe that true learning happens within a spiritual atmosphere—one that
nurtures both the mind and the spirit. This unique environment ensures that our students are not only
prepared for the practical demands of ministry but are also deeply connected to the heart of God.
We also strive to create a family-like fellowship across all degree levels, where students are
supported, encouraged, and held accountable in their academic and spiritual journeys. At Emmanuel
Bible College and Seminary, we embrace the principle that “all for one and one for all,” working
together to achieve the highest possible level of biblical education. Through this collaborative
environment, we prepare future leaders who are ready to impact the world for Christ.
From its inception, EBCAS has placed a strong emphasis on expository preaching and teaching of
the Scriptures, ensuring that God's Word is understood according to its plain, normal, and historical
meaning in the original languages. This emphasis on biblical fidelity is a direct outgrowth of Dr.
Underwood’s vision—creating a seminary where the Word of God is the central textbook and primary
guide for ministry.
Today, the legacy of that vision lives on through our alumni, who serve as a testament to the enduring
impact of a biblical education that prioritizes both truth and love. These men and women continue to
teach, lead, and minister with faithfulness, demonstrating what it means to faithfully communicate
God’s truth and extend His love to the world.
